About Robert J. Moorhead

My name is Robert 'Bob' Moorhead. I was born in Bay City, MI. My first attraction to photography came in the 1970's during my  family's annual trip to attend a Detroit Tiger's baseball game. Seeing the photographers of the day, sitting in the end of the dugout, taking action photos of my boyhood heroes sparked my interest.

I began taking photos professionally at 18 years old. Over the years, I have successfully worked in a variety of professional photography fields including environmental and studio portraits, commercial and 10+ years as a photojournalist. I was the official team photographer for the Mid-Michigan Great Lakers basketball team and the Saginaw Lumber Kings hockey team. I have flown in stunt planes, photographed two presidential campaigns and taken photos of KISS, Blake Shelton and .38 Special among others. As a former, regular contributor to the Associated Press, my photographs have been  published around the world in magazines and newspapers.

Photography has been and continues to be my life-long passion. I am on a constant quest to expand and improve my knowledge of the medium.
